My husband and I have visited Jonny's twice already. First, to celebrate a double birthday for my MIL and Aunti. Second time around, we stopped in for drinks and appetizers. The staff is unbelievably kind, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is so inviting. We have truly enjoyed both experiences there and we both say this is our new favorite place. We look forward to visiting again and enjoying more of delicious food!!
If you’re looking for good wine, great food, and a lively atmosphere this is the place for you! I have been here twice now and I already want to go back again. You can sit down and eat, or just have a drink at their spacious bar. There is almost always some sort of event scheduled like open mic on Tuesdays, and live music on the weekends. They post the calendar of events on their website. A large group of us went for my mom’s birthday this year and we had a blast! The band played music they all loved. I’m so glad we chose this spot. They were very accommodating given the size of our group. We will be back soon 😊
Came to Chicago on business from Canada and was looking for something real—local flavor, good energy, and a burger that actually lives up to the hype. Jonny Cab’s delivered on all fronts. The burgers are legit—juicy, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Not overdone, not overhyped—just seriously good food. The location is easy to get to, and the vibe is spot on. There was a live band playing, which instantly set the tone. Great atmosphere, friendly crowd—felt like a place locals actually go to, which says a lot. And let’s talk price—very reasonable for the quality and the experience. If you’re in town and want something that feels authentic without trying too hard, Jonny Cab’s is absolutely worth it.
What a neighborhood gem! Jonny Cab’s has live music, great vibes, delicious food, and friendly staff. There’s an adorable patio with string lights for outdoor seating, as well as a spacious inside with booths, tables, and high tops. They are knowledgeable when it comes to dietary restrictions and the menu clearly indicates gluten free options (which there are PLENTY of). I got the gluten free Cajun pasta which was a very generous portion and full of flavor! They even have a gluten free chocolate chip cheesecake from Auntie Amy’s, which was enjoyed by everyone (even those who aren’t gluten free)! Would highly recommend for a lovely night out.
Wow! We had an awesome time at Jonny Cab’s last weekend. My family had a family reunion in the area. We were looking for a place to gather after dinner when we ran into Patrick (Owner) outside of Jonny Cab’s. Patrick gave us a tour and we fell in love with this place immediately. Patrick set us up in the Whisper room. He and his staff were AMAZING. We listened to the live band and did karaoke all night. Everyone had the time of their lives. I HIGHLY recommend this place for the atmosphere, the staff and an all around good time. I wish they were in my neighborhood. We’ll be back for sure!!! Thank you Patrick and Scott.
We enjoyed a fabulous evening in the Whisper Room for a family dinner for 15. The waitress was outstanding; the appetizers, drinks, main courses, and desserts were all delicious. The Whisper Room is a hidden gem and we loved the decor. We enjoyed the band but were also able to enjoy the quiet and have conversations. We highly recommend Jonny Cabs!
I recently had the pleasure of attending a birthday party at Johnny’s Cab, hosted by my friend DJ Sultan (Ped)—and I was seriously impressed. The space was spacious, accommodating, and had just the right vibe for a lively celebration. The food? Absolutely delicious. The staff? Friendly, attentive, and truly made the night feel seamless. But what really stood out to me as a photographer and someone in the event industry was their sound and video setup—top-notch and clearly built for unforgettable experiences. You can tell they didn’t cut any corners when designing this space. If you're looking for a venue that brings together great food, fantastic energy, and an entertainment-ready setup, I highly recommend Johnny’s Cab. It’s the kind of place that knows how to throw a party right.
This is an amazing place to eat and dance. The bands make your night incredible and you dont have to deal with young drunk fellas. We order THE CHARCUTERIE PLATTER to start and was huge. I ordered TURF & SURF or something like that, and it was juicy and delicious. Drinks are pretty good. My wife ordered THE SKINNY MAYRA-RITA, and she loved it. I ordered some drinks with cucumber and was great. Definitely coming back soon.
What a beautiful venue! Everything about Jonny Cab’s is top notch incredible! The atmosphere is amazing, the food is mouthwateringly delicious, the staff is very accommodating and attentive! My family enjoyed this place! Food was good staff was nice and accommodated our large party. They had a live band which was an unexpected surprise. We had a good time. No complaints will be back.
